According to an interview with Tamar, she fully intended to keep the sex of the baby a secret from the public. However, it’s well known that among her cadre of famous friends includes Tiny Harris. It makes sense that the two would share the excitement of the baby’s news, but I’m pretty sure Tiny wasn’t supposed to leak this bit of news to the media. 

Tiny was interviewed by HipHopHollywood when she let the secret slip:

I know everything about this baby. And I know…I was gonna say what it was. I know the baby’s name. Of course I know what it is, and I’ve seen HIS little face. She has a 4D picture…Oh.

Tamar has been busy, making TV appearances, walking red carpets, sitting for photo shoots, doing interviews, and promoting her new single, “Love and War,” off of her highly anticipated sophomore album. In the middle of all of that busyness, she had been keeping it hush hush about her pregnancy.

After all of the back-and-forth we saw on reality TV shows Braxton Family Values and Tamar and Vince with fertility issues, freezing eggs, and interviewing surrogates, word is that Tamar and Vince got pregnant the old-fashioned way, which completely took them by surprise. Together, they made the decision to keep the news to themselves until the late stages of her pregnancy. (Reportedly, she was in her third and final trimester when they went public).

After the release of her self-titled debut album, Toni Braxton swept the Grammys in 1994, winning gold statues for both awards she was nominated for:

• “Best New Artist”
• “Best Female R&B Vocal Performance” for “Another Sad Love Song”

She was nominated (and won) again the following year in 1995 for “Best Female R&B Vocal Performance” – this time for her single “Breathe Again.”

In 1996, for the third year in a row, Toni Braxton was nominated for “Best Female R&B Vocal Performance” for the song “I Belong To You.”

Toni’s second album, Secrets, was another mega-success. Only this time, she transcended music genres and became recognized as a bonafide pop star. In 1997, she was nominated for 3 awards:

• Best Pop Performance for “Un-Break My Heart”
• Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for “You’re Making Me High”
• Best Pop Vocal Album

Toni Braxton released her third studio album, The Heat, in 2001. The Heat went on to sell over 2 million copies on the strength of singles like “He Wasn’t Man Enough,” “Just Be A Man About It” featuring Dr. Dre, and “Spanish Guitar.” She was nominated for 2 Grammys in 2001:

• Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for “He Wasn’t Man Enough”
• Best R&B album

And folks are STILL talking about Toni’s red carpet look for the 2001 Grammy Awards ceremony. She donned a barely-there white gown, snapping the camera’s attention at every turn, for better or worse.

Many fashion critics praised the risky choice of dress, naming her among the “Best Dressed” while others thought she had pushed the sexy envelope a bit too far, placing her squarely on their “Worst Dressed” list.

With over 66 million records sold worldwide, Toni is still considered one of the best-selling R&B artists of all time. More Grammy wins for Ms. Braxton in the future? Yes please!

Toni is the star of “Twist of Faith,” in which she plays Nina, a single mother, lead singer of a small gospel choir in Alabama.

She becomes the friend and confidante of a Jacob, a Jewish singer/songwriter who is trying to pick up the pieces after his life has been shattered the senseless murder of his wife and children.

Together, they bond over stirring gospel music and restoration of love and faith.

“Twist of Faith” premieres on the Lifetime network on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 8 pm EST.

We first saw footage from music video for Trina Braxton’s single “Party Or Go Home” on Braxton Family Values. It only makes sense that our “Party Girl” would come out with song as her first solo single.

As we’ve seen on new episodes of Braxton Family Values, Tamar and Vince have been moving steadily through the motions to make their dreams of a baby possible.

Tamar blogged about the trying to conceive process, saying that once doctors determined that she would not be able to get pregnant the ‘natural’ way, she had to go through a round of fertility treatments. Boosting her fertility meant self-injection of synthetic hormones by needle twice per day for 2 weeks! She speaks more about all of the side effects she experienced here, including weight gain!

Lots of fans were speculating that Tamar was already pregnant because her face showed a weight gain. Well, Tamar reveals that she did gain weight, but it wasn’t because she was carrying a baby – it was because of the hormone treatments!

At the end of the day, Tamar decided that she was neither emotionally or physically ready to carry a baby (and maybe her solo career had something to do with the off-timing as well), so doctors harvested her eggs to freeze for later.

Tamar shares that the doctors were able to extra 5 healthy follicles and 4 of them were fertilized by Vince’s sperm. The end result was 2 male and 2 female embryos. The fertilized eggs were frozen for sakekeeping…. and now Tamar has the option to have several children in the future.

When will Tamar decide to go through with the entire pregnancy? Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure, SHE is definitely not pregnant… at least not yet!

Didn’t Trina say her vision was to be surrounded by a bunch of hot gay men who could really dance? Well, if this guy is gay, I guess it doesn’t hurt to touch and check out those abs!
